[00:00:39] Alfred Zayas: Thank you for having me.

[00:00:41] Viktoriia Miracle: Absolutely. So as always on this podcast, the very first question we would love to know you. How are you, how did you start to do what you do? What inspired you and just to fun any fun stories?

[00:00:54] Alfred Zayas: Yeah, for sure. Actually I'm manic.

[00:00:57] I think it started when I was little, right. Like when I was little, I never wanted to have a job. Even when I was a little kid. When, when my dad would take me to, to collect baseball cards, I was very big into baseball. I would always take like the best cards I had and I'd go into like the school and I'd sell them for 25 cents, 50 cents.

[00:01:13] And back in the day, it was like X-Men cards and pugs and all these different things. And so I've always had like that entrepreneurial spirit. And then when I started to understand that, like, man, you could, you can make money online to me that, that was a game changer, especially with crypto, with crypto and NFTs.

[00:01:30] That was something that really just blew my mind last year. Before I found this space, I used to sell baseball cards through eBay. And, you know, we made, like, I think I made yes last year about like 12, 15 grand doing that, but it's, it's, it's a challenge, right? You gotta buy the cards from eBay, then they get sent to your house.

[00:01:48] And then from there you got to take photos of them and put them on eBay and then package them and then send it to the ups store. I mean, it's a lot of work, right. And so when I started to understand NFTs and I could literally click a button, buy an NFT and resell it that same day. 4, 2, 3, 4 times the profit.

[00:02:05] I realized like, dude, this is, this is a whole other world, you know, and I was hooked and you know, what I want to do now is just really teach people that men there's so many ways to make money online that are so unconventional from what you and I have been taught, right? Like, you know, go to school, get good grades, get a good job, you know, find a company that pays your benefits and you know, the old mantra, right?

[00:02:25] Like everybody everybody's been taught that. I think, I think there's so much opportunity online and so many ways to make money that are actually fun. You could actually have a lot of fun while making money, and I think that's important to do.

[00:02:41] Viktoriia Miracle: And you are having fun with crypto?

[00:02:44] I know you also

[00:02:49] go go for it. I think I interrupted you. Can you hear me?

[00:02:56] Alfred Zayas: I lost you for a second there. What did you say?

[00:02:59] Viktoriia Miracle: But I'm back. Okay. I was just saying, and you having fun with crypto and I know you do many other things like online business and you know, helping to sell people entrepreneurs, but yeah, crypto is definitely a fun place.

[00:03:12] So how long have you been investing with crypto and like how, how did you find it?

[00:03:19] Alfred Zayas: Well, so, so with crypto, I actually think crypto kind of found me, right? Like I, prior to doing this, I was, I would sell life insurance and investments, like retirement accounts and mutual funds. Right. And so when you're in that industry, crypto like frowned upon, like nobody, nobody believes in crypto over there.

[00:03:36] I think it's a fad and you know, it's just kinda like, like a pyramid scheme at the end of the day, right. But when I left that industry, you know, I was investing my money. Like I had been taught and mutual funds earning 10, 12%, but I'm like a numbers person when it comes to money, I'm very big on making money.

[00:03:53] And so I'm always running numbers and I'm thinking to myself, dude, man, like it's going to take us forever to create any real wealth with this kind of strategy. So that's what kind of made me realize, like I got to look elsewhere, the first place I actually looked wasn't even crypto, it was foreign exchange market.

[00:04:09] It was the Forex market, because that was like more professional. And like I said, crypto is like very frowned upon. So I went that route, but yeah. I realized that like, I don't really care what the hell is happening in the foreign exchange mark. I don't care to study other cultures and other, you know, countries.

[00:04:28] That's not like really what's exciting me. And so then from there, I kind of just found crypto and crypto kind of found me because, you know, it's hard to not seek crypto if you're on social media and Twitter and IG, right. So I was like, all right, bro, I'm gonna just dive in this thing before I like completely rejected and be completely ignorant and not take a look.

[00:04:48] I'm going to dive in and see if I like it, you know? And so that's what I did. I joined an academy, that really started to educate me on this. And then that's when I started to realize that dude, crypto is so much more than just making money. It's like, it's really shaping where the world's headed. And that's what fascinates me so much is, is understanding where we're going as a country.

[00:05:07] We're where we're going as a society and getting ahead of the curve, right. Because the people that get ahead of the curve, they're the ones that, that have the greatest opportunity. You know, I always use the Gary V example because I love Gary V, right. If you look at Gary V when he first started wine library TV, through those, those videos sucked compared to videos today, they're like terrible.

[00:05:30] Right? If, if you were to come out with that today, nobody would pay attention to him. But because he was first, he pioneered it, right. It didn't matter the quality at that point, he was. He was one of the first people to get involved. So by the time everybody else got involved, he was there already leading the charge.

[00:05:47] He had more experience, more education. He could teach it better than everybody else, right. And that's what gave him the opportunity to be where he is today. And so I realized that that's what crypto is right now. Is, you know, most people are, are so behind the eight ball, like they're there they're so against it.

[00:06:03] They refuse to even get involved with it. That I understood that if I did get involved with it and I started to understand that eventually when we move into this space, I could pioneer it. I could educate, and that could really help people. And at the same time, you know, make a ton of money doing so, right.

[00:06:19] Viktoriia Miracle: Exactly. What are you, what are you most excited? Like all the innovations that are in the cryptocurrency right now. Like what, what are you the most excited? Like the blockchain right industry.

[00:06:30] Alfred Zayas: So for me, yeah. You know, for me, it's, it's crypto gaming and, and really mainly more than anything, the metaverse like understanding that we're moving into a computer it's already happening.

[00:06:45] Oh, we're literally, we're literally going to be inside of a computer. You know, that that's what's happening. If you start looking at a metaverse and like how Facebook is trying to create a metaverse and there's so many other companies that are doing it too, you know, a Microsoft, a lot of big names, Disney's doing it, right. Essentially we're going to live in a digital world. Think of it this way. Right? You and I we're doing an interview right now, but I'm looking at a screen, right. But would you rather look at me through a screen, like a 2d screen or would you rather put on goggles? And now we sit in an actual living room in the metaverse and now I can actually see you 3D and we can have a real conversation face to face, and it feels like, like real life, right.

[00:07:24] That's where we're moving to and if people don't understand that it's already, it's already happening, you know, People are more concerned with how they look online than how they look in real life. Like you can't, you can't get girls to take photos without filters, right. You know, people will spend 30 minutes an hour, an hour and a half just fixing their IG posts like one post, right. And so it's already happening. It's just a matter of now really adopting it and actually making a useful.

[00:07:55] Viktoriia Miracle: Yeah, I absolutely on board and I started researching, you know, myself. As we're recording this interview at the, almost the first December, December. I've just watched that like a couple of weeks ago, the metaverse video and I was just fascinated by where it's going.

[00:08:12] And for sure, if you haven't watched that, we're speaking about Mark Zuckerberg video. So if you're listening and you haven't just Google it Mark Zuckerberg metaverse there's like 4 million views right now. I think, and it's great because he shows it. I know it's a little bit far off for sure what he's speaking about, but it showed a different way, like educational sector, sport, working together, different ways where it can go to, and of course they're not going to be able to build everything on their own. So there there's going to be a lot of people in the workplace has created. I think they're already on non-stat they're on hiring from Europe, people from Europe to start building all different products.

[00:08:57] So metaverse is great and right. This it's all we can do different things, but also let's speak on gaming. I know you're saying you're big on games and I would love to dive deeper in that for people to understand, because there you can actually earn money playing games. So let's talk about that. Where, where do they start?

[00:09:18] Where let's say, I have never played a game, never earned money online on the game. So how do I start in, what, how is it even possible that you play in the plain queue?

[00:09:29] Alfred Zayas: Yeah. So, so I think the first thing people need to understand before even understanding how to, how to play the game and earn it is that they have to have a foundation of what crypto is like, you, you need to know just basics.

[00:09:41] Right? What is an NFT? You know, what is a digital currency? How does, you know, stuff like that, once you get an understanding of that, then from there. You can start to understand, you know, how you can make money. So essentially just to kind of break it down is, is when I was a little kid, I stopped playing video games a while ago cause you couldn't make money playing video games. Right. That's why I stopped playing it.

[00:10:03] Viktoriia Miracle: Like a waste of time. Right? For entrepreneur it's like you wasting your time.

[00:10:07] Alfred Zayas: For sure, for sure. And so like, let's look at a game that everybody likes grant that thought, all right. As an example, you know, if I'm playing the character and grant that bottle, essentially, I don't own that character.

[00:10:19] I don't own anything. I don't own the cars. I don't own where I live. I don't own a single thing in that game. So I could be spending hours and hours playing that game, leveling up my character and nothing happens, right. Well with crypto and with this NFT space and crypto gaming, essentially, you actually own the character and now they're coming out with smart NFTs. We're essentially what's going to happen is your NFT will evolve over time. And so as your NFT, like your character evolves over time, you could sell your character for a premium cause now imagine as, as when you play video games, your character tends to get better as you continue playing the game, right?

[00:10:54] Because they level up, they have better weapons, all that kind of stuff, right? So now imagine playing a game and you start off with a basic character and overtime, your character starts to develop and evolve and get better. And now you could sell that character for a premium to the next person that doesn't want to start off playing the character at, at the lowest level, they want a character that's already evolved, right?

[00:11:14] You can sell houses. I mean, there's land sales right now happening on sandbox, on the central land for millions of dollars, you know, $4 million. I just saw one today go for 4 million bucks. You know?

[00:11:25] Viktoriia Miracle: There's a minimum one, I think goes for about 16,000 right now, like a little square on the metaverse land.

[00:11:32] Alfred Zayas: Yeah, everything, every asset that you've got, essentially by in real life, you're going to be able to buy online clothing, right. Nike is coming out with partnerships, Adidas coming out with partnerships on, on, on that. I mean, it's just, it's just completely, it's, it's insane. It's really insane. It's it's, it's beautiful.

[00:11:49] At the same time, it there's so much opportunity. It's incredible and now gamers. That, you know, they love playing video games. Look, my little, brother's a perfect example that he loved playing video games, you know, and he just couldn't figure out a way to make money in it. Now there's an opportunity to make lots of money.

[00:12:04] You have people in third world countries quitting their jobs because an extra $500,000 to them that that's like what they earn in a month. At a job, you know, they're making it now playing online. Like there's a game called axie infinity, where, you know, people are actually hiring people in the Philippines and in other countries to play these video games.

[00:12:25] And these guys are making 1200, $1,500 playing video games and they were making 700 bucks, 500 bucks a month, you know, working way more hours and obviously having a lot less fun than what they were doing it right now with the video game. So, you know, it's, it's, it's exciting. It's fun, but it's also life changing because you know, people are understanding that man, I could actually make money and enjoy myself in the process.

[00:12:49] Viktoriia Miracle: Yeah. And that's, that is powerful. I think, because I know they're hiring. It's called Guild. I know in Russia, it's like gil-diya, little guilt then how does it in English, guild, guild the same thing. So that hiring people and one company is, which is insane. I that's how I learned about it. They're got 20 millions funding to have the Guild and find them and hired them so they can fund them.

[00:13:18] And then in the, actually that they takes like 20 whatever, 10, 20% of the, what they're earning, which is insane people get money to create that. I'm like, what?

[00:13:31] Alfred Zayas: Yeah, it's crazy. I actually bought an NFT. It's called, it's a gaming Guild, right? I won't even mention the name. But essentially you buy the NFT, they take all the money from all the people that bought the NFT.

[00:13:42] Okay, and then what they're doing is they're doing two things. They're investing that money into crypto gaming. So they invested into a game called the Lithuim and then a year. Yeah, a year later, what they're doing is they're giving all the profits back to the people that, that only NFT. Then the second thing they're doing is they're taking another portion of the profit and they're investing it in, in people that wanna either play video games for a living, and then they take a portion of the profit, just like you were talking about, or they're investing it in projects, right. And so there's just, there's just crazy, crazy opportunity. Like, look, I don't know a single thing about invest, like, like developing a game, but now I have an asset, you know, an NFT that essentially gives me part ownership of this Guild that is investing in crypto gaming and, and in this movement, you know, and the bottom line, what I'm trying to get as there's space here for everyone.

[00:14:35] Does it matter like how beginning you are or how advanced you are when it comes to understanding gaming or when it comes to understanding crypto there's room for everybody here? You just got to jump in and start to get a feel for it and start to understand, you know exactly where things are going.

[00:14:51] Viktoriia Miracle: Yeah. So let's break it down for people I'd say gaming right? The game, when, okay, so what is a game? Right? It's just remember Nintendo, Sony, PlayStation or whatever seems on. That's the one I was playing it's called SIMS. I don't know if you remember it. It's the one I like it and I played for a little bit.

[00:15:11] I don't even know, maybe 12 or 11 or 10, something like this. And I mean, I kind of grew them up, but then I was like, it's just a waste of my time like, what am I doing? Because entrepreneurs they just want to make money. Like, you know, you don't want it that we still have time for all that other stuff. No, no, no, no, no. If it doesn't make me money, it feels like waste of time.

[00:15:29] So I stopped it, but that's why we entrepreneurs and what happened is. In the game, imagine that you have an avatar. Well, first you can buy an avatar it through blockchain and what's the beauty of it everybody knows that is yours. So company can not just take it away from you. I know what has been happening in a regular games that they will like level up the avatar.

[00:15:57] And then something happened in the just take away or closed account or something can happen on the blockchain. It's not possible on NFT on right on non fundible tokens, you owner, so that after that you can buy assets like artifacts. What else can you buy? A house,

[00:16:17] Alfred Zayas: equipment, houses. I mean, spaceships right now there there's, there's a game called Star Atlas.

[00:16:25] I'm super excited about that game. You been waiting for that game to come on for a while. So there's selling spaceships, you know, I just bought a spaceship on Star Atlas, you know, it's it's, it's incredible, man. It's, it's just wild, but

[00:16:35] Viktoriia Miracle: So you're buying and having a starship?

[00:16:40] Alfred Zayas: Essentially, there's all different types of starships, right. And there's all different types of ships. You go, you get, you know, but, I got an uncommon one, but essentially, man, it, you know, you could buy that, then you could buy land on it. You you're gonna own the character. You could buy the equipment, you could buy the gears.

[00:16:59] Viktoriia Miracle: And then your avatar becomes stronger. It can run faster and that's how I just can imagine what you can do with it. Either the, I don't play games, but I can understand the concept and then they can run faster or whatever, or you can make, I don't know, love with another avatar and make a baby and then sell that baby. Brooding. Yeah, brooding.

[00:17:20] You have something like this and then it's a crypto cues. If you, you can look it up the game Cryptokitties and that's how we kind of starting the whole breeding things. And then you can, when you actually get to participate in the fights or whatever, you're going to find a racist, maybe in racist and you win, you get the money.

[00:17:40] So the stronger your avatar, the better, like the fastest, it runs the more beautiful, more colorful it looks, whatever.

[00:17:49] Alfred Zayas: And quality babies. It has actually affinity, you know, you get two good axies and they, they breed. You're going to have a killer baby axie, right. So it's yeah, exactly.

[00:18:03] He was just saying exactly.

[00:18:04] Viktoriia Miracle: I'm just laughing because it's just, it's insane. I mean, a cool could imagine three, five years ago, if you can breed axie, it's like a little bull with. Okay. I own it a little. You can read that axie and then sell it and make thousands of dollars by release.

[00:18:24] Alfred Zayas: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off. I relate this to like dating online, right? Like, you know, 10 years ago, somebody would have said something about dating online. Like you would have been like, dude, you're crazy. Like who the hell dates online? You know? But now it's like, most people they're online, right? And most people, you talk to them that they find their mates online. It's crazy.

[00:18:48] And the same thing with social media, right? Social media, man think about it. Like when was the last time you got a business card for me? I don't even get business cards anymore. I normally just get their IG handle or I get their, their Twitter handle, you know, I guess some sort of social, social network handle.

[00:19:04] Viktoriia Miracle: When they give me the ID card. I'll interrupt you here. I always just say, okay, let me just write it in my phone. But like, I don't want to want to take it. I don't want to waste paper. I like, I don't need your card. Like, I'm not going to do anything with it is going to take space in my pocket and I don't need it and I'm going to lose it and I'm going to forget it.

[00:19:23] You know, I just saw on IG, the promotion, whatever the ad that you have a one card, things got like, if you watching this on YouTube, you can see I'm going to like show it. It's not the real one. That's just different thing. But you can just like tap it on the phone and it'll give you kind of a link tree and then will have everything. I think this is good when you have card like this. Good. But otherwise, yeah.

[00:19:46] Alfred Zayas: Exactly. And so, you know, think about five, 10 years ago that that was not normal. That wasn't even if you were the total, somebody that they would think you're crazy, right. And so it's just understanding the trends, understanding the trends, where the world's going, having foresight and not hindsight, you know, too many people, they look at the past and they, they, they think that it's going to continue happening the way it once happened.

[00:20:07] And they don't realize that, you know, things are moving very, very fast. Five years from now. I mean, it's going to be, it's going to be crazy. We're five years from now looks like just think five years ago, five years ago, five years ago, social media was just beginning, you know, and now look at it. It's become so normal in our life.

[00:20:24] You can't even imagine not having a social account. 70% of people's time is on social media, right. And so that's what, to me, that's what crypto is going to be in the next five to seven years. We're moving to digital assets. You know, we're where people are going to be more concerned about, you know, having things online then than they do in real life.

[00:20:44] It's going to be like a Ready Player One. I don't know if you've seen that movie.

[00:20:47] Viktoriia Miracle: I just wanted to say that when you started to speak about it, I was like, when you finished that, I'm going to say about Ready Player One. If you haven't watched that movie with such a good movie,

[00:20:58] Alfred Zayas: That movie's killer. I love that movie.

[00:21:01] Viktoriia Miracle: It's explains. What if kids look metaverse could look like, and yeah, maybe it's a little scary where the world can go, but you got to understand that it's like, you never could imagine that the social media will be different, right? Like you said, an online dating, but it's good to be on the board. You either on the boat or off the boat and then you leaving behind.

[00:21:20] So, absolutely. It's a great, great thing. I think my last question will be for you is what the top like top, I don't know, three mistakes that you've done once you started in crypto industry or financial industry.

[00:21:39] Alfred Zayas: Yeah, those are pretty easy. Number one is listening to influencers, you know, it's so easy. It's so easy to get caught up in what influencers saying, especially in the beginning cause you don't know what you're talking about and they seem so knowledgeable that you could, you can make a lot of bad financial decisions by just following them. Like, I'll give you a quick one real quick. When I first got into the space and I started to learn about NFTs, cause I, I would hear Gary V talk about it.

[00:22:04] And Gary V isn't, he's a good influencer in the sense that he doesn't say, Hey, do this, do that. He's not pumping things. He's just giving you a broad perspective and helping you now kind of guide you so that you can go do your own homework. And that I appreciate I'm talking about influencers that are telling you to buy this coin or this NFT specifically, right?

[00:22:22] Because they're, they're either invested in it or they've been sponsored by the company to promote it. And so I got into, an NFT where they, where the guy had like 60,000 followers on Twitter, you know, you seem like, you know, what the hell you was talking about? I'll salute to his face I had no idea.

[00:22:39] And he was one of the first guys I ever started following. He said, look buy this NFT, it's going to blow up. It's going to be the next Fidenza, Fidenza is very popular in Ethereum and so I went ahead and I bought, it was like 450 bucks. Two days later that guy's account is no longer there, gone.

[00:22:58] You can't even find the guy anymore.

[00:23:00] Viktoriia Miracle: On Youtube or NFT?

[00:23:03] Alfred Zayas: On Twitter, on Twitter, on Twitter,

[00:23:05] Viktoriia Miracle: Twitter, Twitter.

[00:23:08] Alfred Zayas: Yeah, one of the NFT Twitter's gone too, but I'm talking about that guy. He had 60,000 followers that guy's gone. He must've paid for all those followers and paid them for a while. I don't even know how that, how that could possibly happen, but I ended up spending $450 on a NFT that I can't even sell right now, right. So that was my first biggest mistake is like getting involved in projects because influencers were pumping them not because I actually understood what the project was, you know, that was the first thing. The second thing I would tell you is, is there's so many opportunities in, in crypto that it's, it, it could be, it could be analysis, paralysis of analysis or analysis of paralysis.

[00:23:48] I forgot exactly how that goes, right. But essentially, like you're, you're doing so much research and you're stuck trying to figure so many things out that you never really do anything and you never master any one space. You have to pick a space and mastery and then pick a few ecosystems, like coins that you like, like for me, I like salon.

[00:24:07] So I look at projects in Solano. I like avalanche. So I look at projects in avalanche and then there's, there's Phantom. I like, those are like the three networks that I, that I like at this moment, right. So I'll go very deep on those and I'll start studying those. I don't care what's happening in polygon.

[00:24:24] Oh, another one is Binance smart chain that I like to, I don't care what's happening over here in Ethereum. I'm I'm not like, because if not, you're all over the place and you never know enough about any one particular networks that ever make a good decision, a good financial decision. So stick to one and then master that and then move on to the next one.

[00:24:43] And then master that and then move on to the next one. But don't try to get your hands on all of them at the same time, because you're gonna drive yourself crazy. You know, that's the second thing. And then the third thing is, you, you gotta let the market come to you. You know, too many times people, they start seeing these pumps where coins are earning 30, 40, 50% in a day.

[00:25:02] And they think that that's just going to keep going and they're going to miss the boat. And they invest in those huge pumps. The next day they wake up and that coin is down 30% of you bought it at the highest point, right. Let the market come back to you. The market is, is, is so forgiving that it'll give you opportunity after opportunity after opportunity.

[00:25:20] If you allow it and you don't go chasing the pumps, let the pumps come to you. You actually want to find it. This is what I say. You got to buy the red and sell the green, you know, buy the red when the market's down and then sell it when the market's up. And it's hard to do, it's easy to say. It's very hard to do because when the market's pumping, the last thing you want to do is start selling, right?

[00:25:40] You want to, you want to keep buying, but the market doesn't pump forever, you know, and you gotta take the gains when you get them. And then, and then, you know, at the same time take advantage of opportunities when you get them in the market's down, you know, those will be the three things that I would say, were the biggest adjustments that I needed to make early on.

[00:25:59] Viktoriia Miracle: Absolutely, I love all of them and I feel like I've done all of those too. I got him one NFT. Oh my God. That was the first thing I got into NFTs, like in terms of art and they bought it. And then like in the few days, discord was gone, Twitter was gone and my friend actually recommended it to me, but it was a funny thing.

[00:26:22] He's actually like a funder of a great company, but he just like, know the project. And he's like sending it to me. Somebody send it to him and he didn't like, know that I will invest not, we were just speaking about NFTs and then I bought it. It was, I feel like it was most of my most expensive and empty, like 500, 300 bucks, like two 50 to 300 with the gas plus and whatever.

[00:26:43] And yeah, I was set. I was set. See my turtle squad gone equals turtle squad because they were actually fun. They were fun. It was like one NFT that it's changing different turtles inside. So it was really cute. That's why I got it because they were cute and I did not understand what I need to research about it.

[00:27:03] Oh my gosh.

[00:27:09] Alfred Zayas: Another thing I would tell you is, is, you know, sometimes it's okay to buy it. And then a few that you just like, even if, you know, like sometimes people get, they cause so much pressure. It's like, oh no, I need this NFT to make me money, dude. Sometimes you might just like it. If you like it, it doesn't matter if it's going to make you money or not bro buy it.

[00:27:27] You know, just a little crazy why. Look, I got a few NFTs that I don't really care to sell and some of them are profitable. Some not so much, but I just liked them.

[00:27:37] Viktoriia Miracle: I liked the last one, I got my lesson of two that I got, and then I said, okay, let me just just stop buying, buying, buying, and just wait. It was the one that I just really liked and it put on my discord avatar, and it was like, that's it.

[00:27:49] I'm good. Now I have my avatar. I found my avatar and just scoring. I don't need more NFT's.

[00:27:58] I think it's a good all support for, I know a lot of people using them for like avatars and Twitter and stuff. And I was like, okay, cool. I need to get one to come on.
